Spider Man No Way Home Trailer Review

Eagle-eyed Marvel fans are convinced that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are set to exit the new Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer that landed Wednesday. The money shot at the end of a three-minute trailer shows Tom Holland's Spider-Man flying at three thugs — Electro, Sandman and Lizard — and fans are convinced the gun includes Maguire and Garfield's versions of the protagonist.

It has long been rumored that No Way Home will once again present two older versions of the superhero, as the film's foundation is based on Holland's Peter Parker opening various doors with the help of Dr. Strange. The confirmed appearance of many criminals in the series added fuel to this speculation.

Now, with the release of two trailers and a few 'leaked' pictures, fans are convinced that Garfield and Holland's repeated denials about the idea are fake. Several fans shared trailer screenshots, and revealed that Electro and Lizard appeared to be charging in different ways, indicating that they were involved in private battles with characters removed from the trailer.

People also noticed that Lizard appeared to have been beaten, apparently by no one, and suggested that the gun be disturbed. They backed up the claims by reverting to images that had to be leaked to the sets, showing Garfield and Maguire. Scaffolding in those pictures is like a trailer in a trailer, some fans say. Maguire starred in a film trilogy directed by Sam Raimi, while Garfield starred in Spider-Man in two movies, directed by Marc Webb.

Spider-Man: No Way Home also includes Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, Thomas Haden Church as Sandman and Rhys Ifans as Lizard. Holland in an interview said the film will cover 'three generations' of Spider-Man characters, and director Jon Watts described the film as 'Spider-Man: Endgame', highlighting its amazing scope.
